I typically shoot with a 70-200 lens for surf competitions or camps, to increase my range while keeping a safe distance. If I’m out for private sessions, I’ll generally go with my 24-70.

I love the action shots as much as I love the artistic ones.

I love the challenge of getting into and staying in the right position.

I love the lack of predictability with every surfer and every wave—you never know what you’re going to get, but it’s always something neat.

Beginners to pros, white wash to large waves, everyone deserves their shot.
